I have recently been having a lot of studio envy! I have seen some of my favorite photographers post pictures of their natural light studios, either new or old. I keep thinking how I can't wait to have my own fabulous studio. It will make life easier if I don't have to bring absolutely everything (lighting, props, background stands, backgrounds, fake floors, etc) with me to shoots! However, I do love going to people's houses.
I realized just how much I love this on Saturday when I went back to a house I'd gone to back in December to photograph 4 month old Tayla. This time, she is just under 8 months. Going to a family's house, especially when photographing a baby, makes the experience so much more personal. The family's I photograph appreciate my coming to them especially with small babies because they don't have to pack them up to come to me. I got to take the pictures of Tayla in her nursery. We were able to use some of my props but also some of her own things, like the cute little personalized stool you'll see below. Tayla makes the BEST faces. They just crack me up and I had trouble deciding which were my favorites! She has great parents and is obviously very loved. I look forward to many more shoots with them watching Tayla grow. :) ENJOY! (Click on the pictures to see them bigger and/or to scroll through).
