As the summer winds down, I am trying to play catch up from the past few busy weeks. I am also trying to take some time off for the first time this summer to spend on the beach with some family before the Fall rush! :) I hope everyone enjoys their last week of summer!
A couple of weeks ago, I did this newborn shoot. Up until the end of June, I babysat F's older brother (J) and sister (S) two days a week. When I got there and started setting up, J was totally interested in everything I was doing. He asked if he could use some of my clips that I use to keep the blankets on my stand. I gave him a few extras I had and once he saw what I was using them for, he needed me to put his on the edge of the blankets too. He then took all of the headbands and very gently hung each on on the doorknob right next to where I was going to shoot. He made a decent assistant, especially for a 2 year old (Plus he's beyond cute, so it was adorable). S came in later after camp and was very interested, watching for a bit before going off to color and play. The baby wanted to eat a few times and wasn't psyched about some poses I tried to do (strong personality just like her siblings-I think she'll hold her own as the "baby" in the family), but once she settled and fell into a nice sleep, I captured some great shots of her. ENJOY!
