I had seen this family around town, but met them when I went to check out their house and plan our session. Again, I get such amazing clients! The day of the session, we were doing family shots first, so while mom and dad finished getting ready, big sister, H and I hung out. I felt like I was talking to someone my own age. She is smart and BEAUTIFUL ! I mean beautiful (good luck, mom and dad!). Well, you'll see below. How could she not be though? The whole family is good looking. I think the first photo makes the list of my top favorite family photos of all time. I also loved how gentle and sweet H was with her baby brother. He wasn't very happy to just sleep and pose, but we got into a rhythm after a while. Enjoy!!

This little one was a little boy I followed for his first year. Well, now he is VERY active and barely stopped for our mini session this Fall. We met at Wakefield Lake and his mom and I got quite a workout chasing him around. Many kids go through a phase where they are almost impossible (ALMOST) to photograph. I still managed to get some though! Enjoy!
These are friends of mine, so I was happy when they wanted a session. Of course, the teenagers were a pain trying to get them to cooperate (you would think we were torturing them). But the little ones were having fun. The youngest, P is hilarious. I drove with him and mom and had told him that if he did good smiling for all of the pics, he would get a lollipop. So, of course, after every shot (and even in the middle of poses) asked, "Can I have my lollipop now?" He's just so cute, you can't help but laugh. Enjoy!
These siblings are cousins to one of my closest friends. I first photographed them last year and was happy to have another session this Fall. We met at a park in Reading on a later weekend afternoon. Little S is always a little weary at first and wants nothing to do with me, but it didn't take too long before we got her laughing and warmed up (so much so that she cried when I had to leave). We wandered around exploring and finished at the playground (always a big hit). All in all, a great session. Enjoy!
This session was scheduled the morning that Hurricane Sandy was starting. We managed to get it in right before the rain started. It made for a warmer morning in the beauty that is the Navy Yard in the Fall. The secret stash of lollipops I keep in my bag really helped me out with this shoot. Whatever works! We got some great shots and I was happy to not have to postpone them to after the hurricane washed away all the beautiful leaves! Enjoy!
The B family contacted me for a shoot and I just happened to have a last minute opening for them. I'm glad I did because the weather was great and little N was adorable! Oh, and another "Small world" moment. N's mom went to my high school in NEW HAMPSHIRE and graduated two years before me and now lives in Charlestown. I love all the connections. Anyway, we started with some shots of him in his Halloween costume. Have you ever seen a cuter lobster?? N didn't really want to be put down. He was about 9 months and was happy to laugh and smile at me...as long as his parents were holding him. That didn't affect us getting some great shots of him. Such a happy baby! Enjoy!
I met T and his parents at Powder House Park in Somerville on a beautiful Fall morning. They are friends with my cousins and I found out that day, that T's grandparents are good friends with my uncle. Small world! T was dressed in the most adorable outfit. He is a happy, smiley baby and was at that perfect age where he could sit but not really move yet. Enjoy!
Well, here we are in 2013! The last 3 months of 2012 flew by for me. I started doing photography full time last July and this past Fall proved I made the right decision. I had many amazing returning clients and many new ones. I feel thankful every day not only to be doing what I love, but to also be blessed with such great clients. It is a lot of hard work and I am still figuring things out, but I would not ask for it to be any different. Thank you to all who support my business. I look forward to capturing many more great memories for you and my new clients in 2013 and beyond!
I'm catching up on blogging so I can share all of the wonderful shoots I had for the Fall/Holiday season. The family below is amazing. I have actually known them since the girls were little and they are some of the nicest people I know. The girls are never very psyched to have a photo shoot, but by the end, they are generally coming up with all kinds of crazy pose ideas! Little mister P is one of the happiest babies I have ever met and always has a smile. It's always guaranteed that I will have fun doing a session with this family and we even got dad in some pics this time. Enjoy! C's mom contacted me to take some photos some weeks back. We had a couple of times we had to reschedule and I was worried it would get pretty chilly, but we lucked out! Thanks to all of the crazy unseasonable weather we've had, we had a nice day for the shoot. We met at the Charlestown Navy Yard which happens to be where a lot of my shoots lately have taken place. It has a lot to offer now that all the trees and scenery in the other popular spots aren't so pretty anymore. C and I walked around chatting and playing. He was just the cutest, tiniest thing, I just wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home. Be warned, his smile may make you melt. :) At the request of his mom, there may be more pics here than I usually put, so you get a special holiday treat seeing all the cuteness! ENJOY! As you can see from this pic, one of the first ones I snapped, we didn't need a "warming up" period. We were buddies from the start. Favorite. ;)I really need to blog all of my shoots from now on! I had a great time shooting yesterday. Little Ana is described by her grandmother as "a tomboy" but we still managed to get her a little girly. However, the ones that really capture her are the ones when she is simply in jeans and a sweatshirt. I had the chance to use my new pink background which I love. Having the flexibility to carry around my "portable studio" to people's homes makes the experience personal and relaxed. Enjoy the pictures of this beautiful little 9 month old.
