Well, it's been a LONG time. Life got in the way last year and I wasn't keeping up with blogging, but I am hoping to blog as many older sessions as I can get to and share the great clients I've had over the last 8 months (wow). But, now, a recent adorable newborn session.
One of my great clients from west of the city referred her friend to me when she wanted newborn photos. I arrived at their beautiful home on a sunny Sunday morning. Little J's parents are awesome. They were obviously over the moon in love with J and each other. I know, I always say my clients are awesome, but it's always true! We did their session at 20 days new since he was born early and was a tiny little guy. He proved to be a fantastic little client. We got so many great shots as he stayed sleepy and even got not one, but multiple smiles! Enjoy!

The B family contacted me for a shoot and I just happened to have a last minute opening for them. I'm glad I did because the weather was great and little N was adorable! Oh, and another "Small world" moment. N's mom went to my high school in NEW HAMPSHIRE and graduated two years before me and now lives in Charlestown. I love all the connections. Anyway, we started with some shots of him in his Halloween costume. Have you ever seen a cuter lobster?? N didn't really want to be put down. He was about 9 months and was happy to laugh and smile at me...as long as his parents were holding him. That didn't affect us getting some great shots of him. Such a happy baby! Enjoy!
I scheduled this session on a Sunday evening the day after a wedding, which I generally don't do because the day after a wedding, I can barely move after being on my feet and holding my cameras all night. However, I wanted to get this family in. Pat, known as "Pat the barber" to all of Charlestown and his wife wanted family photos in Charlestown. I found out that morning that Pat was getting us on the Constitution right after it closed. AWESOME!
The weather was iffy all day with random downpours, but we were determined that the weather would be fine. We met in the Navy Yard under dark skies and managed to get a lot of great shots with just a sprinkle here and there (the downpour held off until about a half hour after we finished!). ENJOY! I received an email from this mother about a session a while back about taking pictures of her son and some family pictures. I met them on a beautiful morning in June at her mother in law's house to take a few pics and then went outside. They wanted a pic on Monument Ave while the flags were still across the street, which was a great idea. I'm including both the color and b&w versions because I loved both of them. :) We went to the Training Field for the rest of the session. As usual, I loved this family and had a great time capturing some precious moments between them and their adorable baby boy. Enjoy!
I first met this mom and her boys last fall. We had a great shoot at the Bunker Hill Monument. It was my favorite kind of shoot, more "lifestyle". The boys had brought their trucks and bikes and we just hung out, walked around, and captured them playing. The oldest, W, is a very smart boy. In the fall, he taught me all about trucks. Seriously. He knows EVERYTHING about trucks. I then, met them again on Christmas Eve to snap a few photos of their family that was in town. I adore this family, so I was excited when Anne asked me to capture the two boys plus their new addition, another BOY! (Good luck to mom!) We drove down to the Charlestown Navy Yard together and the boys did their thing. This time, W taught me all about anchors. :) Enjoy!
Handsome H at the Arnold Arboretum Boston and Charlestown MA Child and Family Photographer4/18/2012 I first photographed H for his first birthday cake smash! We did it outside. You may remember this one: His mom wanted to do some Spring pics, so we took a little road trip from Charlestown to the Arnold Arboretum in JP. It isn't in full bloom yet but we had a beautiful day and there were some great trees and scenery for us to work with! H is so cute and all of the faces he makes crack me up. Enjoy!
C's mom contacted me to take some photos some weeks back. We had a couple of times we had to reschedule and I was worried it would get pretty chilly, but we lucked out! Thanks to all of the crazy unseasonable weather we've had, we had a nice day for the shoot. We met at the Charlestown Navy Yard which happens to be where a lot of my shoots lately have taken place. It has a lot to offer now that all the trees and scenery in the other popular spots aren't so pretty anymore. C and I walked around chatting and playing. He was just the cutest, tiniest thing, I just wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home. Be warned, his smile may make you melt. :) At the request of his mom, there may be more pics here than I usually put, so you get a special holiday treat seeing all the cuteness! ENJOY! As you can see from this pic, one of the first ones I snapped, we didn't need a "warming up" period. We were buddies from the start. Favorite. ;)I am WAY behind. I can honestly say I was not 100% prepared to be this busy, but I am so beyond grateful for all of new clients and referrals I've had this season. I have enjoyed every shoot and meeting each family. I feel very lucky to be able to do something I love (and something that will hopefully be FT by next summer!) But now, I have to catch up on blogs! Although, it's not too bad since a lot of people don't want me to show their pics until after the holidays with cards and gifts going out!
Well, most of you already know just how much I love chubby babies! Add lots of smiles and big blue eyes and that is T! We did the shoot in his bedroom which was super cute. T's dad is in a band and his room is all baby musician decorations. He was smiley, curious and definitely is dying to be on the move like all 6 month olds! Enjoy this preview! I received an email from M recently and it turns out I used to work for her husband who is also a friend of my uncle {Charlestown is like playing 2 or 3 degrees of separation}. She said she'd never done professional pictures of the boys and was excited to do so. Well, we had an awesome day with the weather besides some wind (which is inevitable this time of year along the water). And, talk about cute boys! Smart and on the move, they were fun to run around with. Enjoy! And, you all know I LOVE a little leaf throwing! It's just perfection this time of year! They were all smiles and laughs until asked to sit together....then it was serious business. Ah, Boys WILL be Boys!
