Well, it's been a LONG time. Life got in the way last year and I wasn't keeping up with blogging, but I am hoping to blog as many older sessions as I can get to and share the great clients I've had over the last 8 months (wow). But, now, a recent adorable newborn session.
One of my great clients from west of the city referred her friend to me when she wanted newborn photos. I arrived at their beautiful home on a sunny Sunday morning. Little J's parents are awesome. They were obviously over the moon in love with J and each other. I know, I always say my clients are awesome, but it's always true! We did their session at 20 days new since he was born early and was a tiny little guy. He proved to be a fantastic little client. We got so many great shots as he stayed sleepy and even got not one, but multiple smiles! Enjoy!

D's mom is one of my closest friends which is why I can say, he definitely has his mom's attitude (love you Jen). He has a strong personality and certainly decides when and if he wants to cooperate. :) He's adorable and so smart and happy (despite what the 2nd and 3rd pics below show). He was not psyched about his shoot back in November and he absolutely did not want to smile and cooperate at first. But, after a while, we got that cute smile and had a lot of fun. It's hard to believe he was born 10 weeks early and so tiny, giving us a little scare(see first image). Enjoy!
Please "LIKE" my Facebook page: Nicole O'Neil Photography First, can we just talk about how I photograph gorgeous families? I mean seriously. From mom and dad to every child, the families are beautiful! This family is no exception! I first met this family at some events around town and have now known them for over a year. They were planning a session for the Fall and then they won a gift certificate at the Charlestown Mother's Association Gala. We met at the Bunker Hill Monument (one of the favorite locations in Charlestown) on a nice fall afternoon. The temps were warm and all went smooth. Sure, little miss was a little feisty and would decide she no longer wanted to be invovled at times. But, a little side chat with her and the promise of a lollipop helped me coax her back to that adorable smile! And little Mr. Oh my, how cute!! Enjoy! This little one was a little boy I followed for his first year. Well, now he is VERY active and barely stopped for our mini session this Fall. We met at Wakefield Lake and his mom and I got quite a workout chasing him around. Many kids go through a phase where they are almost impossible (ALMOST) to photograph. I still managed to get some though! Enjoy!
These siblings are cousins to one of my closest friends. I first photographed them last year and was happy to have another session this Fall. We met at a park in Reading on a later weekend afternoon. Little S is always a little weary at first and wants nothing to do with me, but it didn't take too long before we got her laughing and warmed up (so much so that she cried when I had to leave). We wandered around exploring and finished at the playground (always a big hit). All in all, a great session. Enjoy!
This session was scheduled the morning that Hurricane Sandy was starting. We managed to get it in right before the rain started. It made for a warmer morning in the beauty that is the Navy Yard in the Fall. The secret stash of lollipops I keep in my bag really helped me out with this shoot. Whatever works! We got some great shots and I was happy to not have to postpone them to after the hurricane washed away all the beautiful leaves! Enjoy!
The B family contacted me for a shoot and I just happened to have a last minute opening for them. I'm glad I did because the weather was great and little N was adorable! Oh, and another "Small world" moment. N's mom went to my high school in NEW HAMPSHIRE and graduated two years before me and now lives in Charlestown. I love all the connections. Anyway, we started with some shots of him in his Halloween costume. Have you ever seen a cuter lobster?? N didn't really want to be put down. He was about 9 months and was happy to laugh and smile at me...as long as his parents were holding him. That didn't affect us getting some great shots of him. Such a happy baby! Enjoy!
I met T and his parents at Powder House Park in Somerville on a beautiful Fall morning. They are friends with my cousins and I found out that day, that T's grandparents are good friends with my uncle. Small world! T was dressed in the most adorable outfit. He is a happy, smiley baby and was at that perfect age where he could sit but not really move yet. Enjoy!
Well, here we are in 2013! The last 3 months of 2012 flew by for me. I started doing photography full time last July and this past Fall proved I made the right decision. I had many amazing returning clients and many new ones. I feel thankful every day not only to be doing what I love, but to also be blessed with such great clients. It is a lot of hard work and I am still figuring things out, but I would not ask for it to be any different. Thank you to all who support my business. I look forward to capturing many more great memories for you and my new clients in 2013 and beyond!
I'm catching up on blogging so I can share all of the wonderful shoots I had for the Fall/Holiday season. The family below is amazing. I have actually known them since the girls were little and they are some of the nicest people I know. The girls are never very psyched to have a photo shoot, but by the end, they are generally coming up with all kinds of crazy pose ideas! Little mister P is one of the happiest babies I have ever met and always has a smile. It's always guaranteed that I will have fun doing a session with this family and we even got dad in some pics this time. Enjoy! Baby A's mom received a gift certificate from her sister for a newborn session (GREAT GIFT!). She was very excited and so was I. I had a string of newborn girls and definitely wanted a boy to mix it up. Every newborn shoot is awesome, but it definitely was good to have a boy. Baby A's mom brought an adorable knit crown to incorporate, which was perfect. His two older cousins (girls, 2 and 4) came in half way through and were super cute watching the session. They sat and watched and asked some questions. I loved Baby A's mom and grandmother (who I already know) and look forward to future sessions with him and his adorable cousins. ENJOY!
