Well, it's been a LONG time. Life got in the way last year and I wasn't keeping up with blogging, but I am hoping to blog as many older sessions as I can get to and share the great clients I've had over the last 8 months (wow). But, now, a recent adorable newborn session.
One of my great clients from west of the city referred her friend to me when she wanted newborn photos. I arrived at their beautiful home on a sunny Sunday morning. Little J's parents are awesome. They were obviously over the moon in love with J and each other. I know, I always say my clients are awesome, but it's always true! We did their session at 20 days new since he was born early and was a tiny little guy. He proved to be a fantastic little client. We got so many great shots as he stayed sleepy and even got not one, but multiple smiles! Enjoy!

I was referred to this family by two other great clients. H was 6 months old and they hadn't had any professional shots yet. We ended up with a beautiful afternoon the day after Thanksgiving. I met them at their house in Quincy and we did some shots in the yard and the nursery. Little H is very smiley and happy and his parents, like my other client parents, were wonderful! Enjoy!
I've known Colleen for a long time. We used to live one street away from each other and worked at the same place for a while. I was excited she wanted me to photograph her second child for his newborn shoot. We had a great shoot and big brother got some pics too. Can't wait to see these adorable brothers again! Enjoy!
I met little J and his parents at their house in Charlestown in early November. They are such great people and he is super adorable! We did a few pics on their front steps and then made our way to the Monument and the Training Field. J has the best smile (especially with those few tiny teeth) and was so happy the entire time. He also makes the funniest little face where he scrunches up his nose. Oh, and talk about a gorgeous family! Well, you'll see below. Enjoy!
The B family contacted me for a shoot and I just happened to have a last minute opening for them. I'm glad I did because the weather was great and little N was adorable! Oh, and another "Small world" moment. N's mom went to my high school in NEW HAMPSHIRE and graduated two years before me and now lives in Charlestown. I love all the connections. Anyway, we started with some shots of him in his Halloween costume. Have you ever seen a cuter lobster?? N didn't really want to be put down. He was about 9 months and was happy to laugh and smile at me...as long as his parents were holding him. That didn't affect us getting some great shots of him. Such a happy baby! Enjoy!
I met T and his parents at Powder House Park in Somerville on a beautiful Fall morning. They are friends with my cousins and I found out that day, that T's grandparents are good friends with my uncle. Small world! T was dressed in the most adorable outfit. He is a happy, smiley baby and was at that perfect age where he could sit but not really move yet. Enjoy!
I know many of N's family members and his parents received some gift certificates toward a newborn shoot (becoming a popular shower gift!). He was tiny and adorable. Dad is a cop, so we made sure to incorporate that! He also had a little onesie made for the Cafe his grandparents own, which was big on him, but of course, we made sure to use it! He was nice and sleepy and was super easy to pose, making for a smooth session. The last picture is perhaps my favorite. You'll see why. ENJOY!
So many great clients are coming up on the blog this week! Although, I will be trying to take some breaks and enjoy this GORGEOUS weather! This mom contacted me after seeing pictures I had taken for another family that she knows. I went and met them and immediately liked every single one of them. We ended up having to do a re-shoot due to weather and light and it worked out great. I believe sessions (and all things in life) happen when they are supposed to. First, I want to show you this AMAZING mural that this dad had painted in C's nursery. Mom didn't know what they were having , but dad did and so, he did a special design of the nursery. Being from a hockey family (and town), I LOVED the hockey theme and this mural is something I would put in my own house someday. Take a look! Amazing, right?? Anyway, moving on. They have this great backyard where we did the family pictures to start. Little K was so sweet and did a great job getting pics with little brother C and the family together. She was wearing her "princess dress", which I definitely believe makes her a real princess. When we went inside and I set up, she was so interested in everything I was doing. At one point toward the end, she had dragged her beanbag, some blankets, and stuffed animals/dolls into the living room to create her own makeshift studio behind mine. It was ADORABLE. So, enough talk. Let's get to this beautiful family's pictures! ENJOY! Everyone including the newborn looking at the camera...this is what we call a "money shot". :) Could mom be more stunning? Of course, we couldn't forget to include the 5th family member to end the session!
I received an email from this mother about a session a while back about taking pictures of her son and some family pictures. I met them on a beautiful morning in June at her mother in law's house to take a few pics and then went outside. They wanted a pic on Monument Ave while the flags were still across the street, which was a great idea. I'm including both the color and b&w versions because I loved both of them. :) We went to the Training Field for the rest of the session. As usual, I loved this family and had a great time capturing some precious moments between them and their adorable baby boy. Enjoy!
I first photographed J when he was a newborn and then again at 4 months. He has always been pretty mellow and smiley. J's parents are super laid back and like simple, lifestyle photos. They decided on the Bunker Hill Monument for the first year pictures and cake smash and we had a beautiful day for it. J was so happy and active and kept looking right at me with that big smile of his. He doesn't have a sweet tooth, but still did a good job getting his hands in his cake. Enjoy!
