K isn't just any client because he is my cousin's baby. He has an infectious smile. We weren't sure if we were going to fit in the session because of the storm that hit Saturday. They had lost power but thanks to a generator, we were able to get the house warm and ready to do pictures. We didn't get to do some nice outdoor fall pics for this Halloween baby but we got some great shots of this ON THE MOVE boy around the house. We ended with the cake smash, which was nice and messy! The messier the better! Enjoy! BEST start to a cake smash so far!!! He wasted no time and just stuck his face right in it! This part was so funny because he didn't know what to do with his leg and didn't want to just rest it on the cake. So, he was balancing there just keeping it up in the air. And the best for last!

I used to babysit these boys and they asked me to do a session for them. I had taken their pictures back last summer so it was nice to do a Fall shoot. Their mom found a great location, the Longfellow Wayside Inn in Sudbury. I pulled up and realized there was a big reenactment going on. There was a battle to take place a little while later. Luckily, it was on the opposite end of the property from where we were headed. The scenery was perfect for a Fall shoot (which also happened to be a few hours before the crazy Oct snow storm hit!). Here are a few shots from the morning! Enjoy! And this next one is a typical response to asking two little brothers to give each other a hug! haha. Lots of pushing away! But we managed to get a decent one!...although it still looks like he's squeezing him pretty hard! haha! And I'll end with my favorite!
I was excited when K's mom contacted me to do newborn photos...I mean, come on, you can never get enough of cuddling a newborn! Little K was beyond adorable. He was a great sport with all of the different positions I had to put him into. His mom had the cutest bench from when she was little that we used (first pic). It will be great to see the progression when we sit him on it at 6 months and a year! I decided to do all but one photo here in black and white. Enjoy!
We had a session planned to combine a little indoors and outdoors. However, the weather did not cooperate on Thursday and we set up inside while it poured outside! Little R is such a happy little 7 months old. She just wanted to move all over the place and talk and smile. She actually had me laughing pretty hard. I can't wait to photograph her again when she is one and has a new little sibling to join her! ENJOY!
I was contacted a while ago from B's mom to take pictures of her. Our first date was rained out so we rescheduled for this past Saturday at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. It was my first shoot there but i've wanted to go for a while. It was beautiful. B was a natural at posing and she is gorgeous. She even powered through even though she had to be freezing. I couldn't decide which shots to put up here because there were so many I loved, so here's a bunch! ENJOY! MY FAVORITE! MY SECOND FAVORITE!
Some great clients of mine referred S's mom to me. I met S and her parents at Borderland State Park in Easton (my favorite locale south of the city). We wandered around to capture some great shots. S was shy and took time to warm up but once she did she was laughing away. She was exploring every area we went to and mostly, she wanted to just stand up and walk as most one year olds do! ENJOY!
When Stacy contacted me last winter and said she wanted me to photograph her wedding, I was excited. I've known Stacy for about 10 years or so. What I loved most about the day is that Stacy was so laid back. She had a "whatever, if things go wrong it's no big deal, i'm just ready to get married" attitude. The colors were gorgeous and the wedding took place outdoors at Pat's Peak in NH. There was no wedding party so the photos were completely focused on Stacy and Nate and their families. Everyone had a great time and most importantly, so did the Bride and Groom. You'll also notice I'm favoring black and white in this post. I go back and forth between being in love with all color and being in love with all B&W. Well, I'm on a b&w kick. And, there's something about wedding and romantic pictures in black and white, don't you think??? ENJOY! Knowing Stacy for a long time, I knew that I could say, "Give me some attitude" and she'd not only do it perfectly, but love every second of it. The next couple are the result. Great, huh? When it came to asking who gives her away, her dad got all choked up. That was the FIRST moment I got choked up...as well as everyone there. He certainly loves his girl. Loved the little pumpkins.
I got a call from a cousin whose daughter was very unhappy with every picture she got from a studio her school uses for senior pictures. We booked a session and I assured her I would capture some great shots that they would both love. I showed her a few in camera and she said "I already like them so much more than those other ones." We walked around at Wakefield Lake and then found another small park where we snapped a few. Enjoy! This location and the light just worked PERFECTLY! I think this is my favorite. I snapped a few of her sister as well. She was very jealous that this wasn't going to be about her. :)
Today, I went to meet my new little cousin, Seamus. I just want to cuddle him all day! He just cuddled up on my shoulder. Here are some pics...all in black and white! I have a feeling i'll be getting this face a lot once he realizes i'm the one who will have a camera in his face all the time. It's amazing I actually take this many pictures in half an hour!!!
