I had seen this family around town, but met them when I went to check out their house and plan our session. Again, I get such amazing clients! The day of the session, we were doing family shots first, so while mom and dad finished getting ready, big sister, H and I hung out. I felt like I was talking to someone my own age. She is smart and BEAUTIFUL ! I mean beautiful (good luck, mom and dad!). Well, you'll see below. How could she not be though? The whole family is good looking. I think the first photo makes the list of my top favorite family photos of all time. I also loved how gentle and sweet H was with her baby brother. He wasn't very happy to just sleep and pose, but we got into a rhythm after a while. Enjoy!!

I first photographed A back in the Spring. We met at their house and walked up to the Monument on a beautiful May afternoon. She is so beautiful! I was happy to hear from them again for Fall pics. We met the day before Thanksgiving in the Navy Yard. I obviously do a lot of shoots in the NY. There are so many great spots and you have such great variety with a mix of urban backdrops of brick, cobblestone and the skyline, but also grass, water, and beautiful trees. It's always a great backdrop, but even better with beautiful clients like A and her parents! Enjoy! The dog was SO not impressed with me....
Please "LIKE" my Facebook page: Nicole O'Neil Photography First, can we just talk about how I photograph gorgeous families? I mean seriously. From mom and dad to every child, the families are beautiful! This family is no exception! I first met this family at some events around town and have now known them for over a year. They were planning a session for the Fall and then they won a gift certificate at the Charlestown Mother's Association Gala. We met at the Bunker Hill Monument (one of the favorite locations in Charlestown) on a nice fall afternoon. The temps were warm and all went smooth. Sure, little miss was a little feisty and would decide she no longer wanted to be invovled at times. But, a little side chat with her and the promise of a lollipop helped me coax her back to that adorable smile! And little Mr. Oh my, how cute!! Enjoy! These siblings are cousins to one of my closest friends. I first photographed them last year and was happy to have another session this Fall. We met at a park in Reading on a later weekend afternoon. Little S is always a little weary at first and wants nothing to do with me, but it didn't take too long before we got her laughing and warmed up (so much so that she cried when I had to leave). We wandered around exploring and finished at the playground (always a big hit). All in all, a great session. Enjoy!
This session was scheduled the morning that Hurricane Sandy was starting. We managed to get it in right before the rain started. It made for a warmer morning in the beauty that is the Navy Yard in the Fall. The secret stash of lollipops I keep in my bag really helped me out with this shoot. Whatever works! We got some great shots and I was happy to not have to postpone them to after the hurricane washed away all the beautiful leaves! Enjoy!
I traveled up to visit a friend and her little ones the week after I returned from my trip. I have been taking her youngest daughter's pictures every few months for the first year and this was our final part of the baby plan. We had iffy weather but it held out for us and we even still had amazing light coming into their kitchen (seriously, if I had the great natural light they have, I would do tons of sessions in my house). Emma got right into the cake and definitely smashed it! Enjoy!!
I had the pleasure of first meeting little Miss L in the Spring for her 6 month pictures. This time, we were doing her first birthday. We had to reschedule, but had a beautiful day for our session. She is super cute and happy. After a walk down the street to Phillips Academy for some outdoor shots, we went back and finished with the cake smash at her house. Enjoy!
I am WAY behind on blogging. This session was my first one back after Ireland. Baby A's mom found me when Molly of Molly Anne Photography did my head shots and posted them on her blog. Thanks Molly! I traveled out to Westborough and we had a great session. Baby A was easy to pose and sleepy, which always helps! Her room is decorated with owls, so I was sure to bring one of my newest baby girl props, an owl hat. Her parents are awesome and I can't wait for the 6 month and 1 year session (they signed up for a baby plan). It's so much fun watching them grow and capturing such great memories. Enjoy!
I had been looking forward to this shoot for what seemed like forever. We had to reschedule twice due to bad weather, but I know I will have sessions when they are supposed to happen. I knew these girls beforehand and find them to be ADORABLE. We met on a recent summer evening and had a blast making our way around the Navy Yard. We ended with what started as dipping feet in the wading pool and turned into swimming in their dresses. SO AWESOME. We had so much fun and I captured so many great shots, I had a lot of trouble narrowing down for this blog post. So, there are a lot of photos for you to see. ENJOY!
Baby V's mom contacted me wanting her 3 month pics. I went to her home and had a great time. V's mom is super laid back and that certainly helps the energy of a shoot. We took our time and captured V smiley and happy. The first one is my favorite from the day even though she isn't smiling. I mean, look at those eyes! ENJOY! We wore her out. ;) I'm very happy we got this because mom was sad she didn't do sleepy newborn pics, so one sleeping made her day!
