"Do what makes you happy WOW! It's already Thanksgiving (well, tomorrow). This time of year sneaks up on me since it's the busiest season for photos. I establish great relationships and friendships with my clients and feel blessed every day. So, I feel it's only appropriate to share what I'm Thankful for. I will not be blogging much until after the holidays (due to time constraints and the fact that many photos i've been taking will be holiday cards and gifts), so I figured this was a good blog to do.
Here is a list of the things I'm Thankful for this year: My Family. I have one of the best and dysfunctional families and wouldn't want it any different. They are loyal, kind, supportive, generous, and a lot of fun. My Friends. I have always been a person who doesn't have one set group of friends, but instead, friends from everywhere. I love this. It has allowed me the chance to meet many different people and end up with some of the greatest friends a person could ask for. They are all amazing in their own ways and I love them. My business. When I started this business, I was terrified and didn't believe it would turn into anything. I'm still figuring it all out, juggling, and working out the kinks, but I am VERY thankful for my clients as well as for all of the amazing people i've met because of it. I also get to have amazing experiences between traveling and events I am a part of. How could I not be thankful? My health and happiness. I've reached a great point in life where I have found exactly where and what I want to be and with all of the above, I am beyond happy. I also never stop being thankful for these two things as I watch people struggle around me and around the world. I appreciate everything and everyone that I have. My community. Over the years, I have reconnected to my roots and couldn't be happier that I did. I live in a great community full of wonderful people and businesses. Thank you to all of you who are a part of my life. The people and experiences are more important to me than anything else. Happy Thanksgiving. Spend the day enjoying life and remembering what you're thankful for.

I'm on a major push in the next week to catch up on blogging! This season gets so busy, it is hard to keep up, but I want to share the beautiful and adorable clients I have been photographing. I'm meeting some amazing new clients this year and I feel lucky every day.
I got an email from Stephanie to do her engagement pictures. She is a nurse and used to babysit for my friend (which I found out when she emailed). We exchanged some emails and then met in person for coffee. She is really into photography and was super excited about her session with lots of ideas and things she wanted. We traveled all over Charlestown. Matt was willing to do whatever we asked him (since you know most of the time, the guy is always just "along for the ride"). :) Stephanie was great in directing him and hitting the right poses, so much so that I didn't even have to tell them what to do half the time! I had a great time with them and their dog, Charlie. Great looking couple. I mean, she's GORGEOUS, right? You'll see below. ENJOY! When my friend asked me to take her son's senior pictures, I was very happy both because she is one of my favorite people and because Reardan is a great kid. We met up and took the Northpoint Bridge to Northpoint Park. We had fun with lots of sarcasm and laughs. Reardan was great, doing whatever I asked him to, and only saying "no" to and giving a hard time to his mother. ;) ENJOY!
I first met Devon online. We were both taking a class through the University of Phoenix online program going for our teaching degree. We stayed in touch and when she got engaged to Brian, I was flattered she contacted me and asked me to take her pics. This was last year. We had to cancel our session due to the October snow storm (2011) and because of rescheduling issues, we decided that we would just do them this year since they are not getting married until June 2013. We met at Borderland State Park in Easton which is a favorite place of mine in that area. Devon cracks me up because she is full of energy and was VERY energetic and anxious about pictures. She calmed a bit after a few pics and we had a great shoot wandering around the grounds of the park. Brian is totally laid back and was up for whatever we made him do. I can't wait to capture their wedding in June! ENJOY!
