I get my coffee every morning at Zume's Coffeehouse in Charlestown. It has great atmosphere, great food/coffee, and great people working there. Maryellen works in the ktichen and could be one of the nicest people I've ever met. I was thrilled when she asked if I would photograph her grandchildren, Gavin and Hailey. I met them in the Charlestown Navy Yard, my favorite Charlestown spot for photos.
I could tell right away that Gavin was high energy which is why I'm glad I run photo shoots the way I do! I pulled out a ball and asked if he'd like to play with it. He threw it, kicked it and played catch with his sister and I got some great shots. Before he had a chance to get bored with it, I asked him to take a walk with me to a tree to get some pics. I then, pulled out bubbles for them to play with. I've learned it's best to keep young children busy and happy and not make them POSE too much. We had a great session and I am sharing some of my favorites here.

First off, let me say that these two are going to be great parents. They are patient, loving, and are one of those couples who model what marriage should be about. You can tell how in love they are by spending any amount of time with them.
Jason was VERY into the session which got me even more excited. I love when the father's are 100% involved! He chose the location which was Forty Steps beach in Nahant, MA. The spot is BEAUTIFUL with cliffs and rocks of all different heights with an amazingly endless view out to the ocean. The people of Nahant do not like visitors parking around but we had a lookout (Christine's sister) in case we had to move. When we arrived, Jason was excited to tell me they brought props. I LOVED this!!!! They had a special custom onesie, an Italian hat and Irish shirt (he's Italian, she's Irish), the sonogram photo I asked them to bring, and red sox gear that they wanted incorporated. (Did I mention before how much I loved doing this photo shoot?!) We had perfect weather and a beautiful blue sky and Christine was a great sport, climbing up on rocks and posing wherever I wanted her to. We had a lot of fun and I was so excited to share the results that I had them ready by that afternoon for them to view! Below are my favorites. I recently had the great pleasure of capturing Sarah and Clint Burt’s wedding day. I have known Sarah for 12 years and was honored for her to ask me to capture her special day. When I went to check out the venue, (The Castleton in Windham, NH) I was in love with all of the outdoor spots for photos. The ceremony was to take place outside so everyone had fingers crossed for sun!
The sun did not attend Sarah and Clint’s nuptials, but many family and friends did! A little (which turned into a lot) rain did not stop us from taking a bunch of pictures outside. Everyone was happy, beautiful, and cooperative (well, with the exception of the ADORABLE ring bearer and flower girl who were acting typical for their age). Every second from Sarah getting ready to the end, you could see the love in both of their eyes. Everyone had an amazing time and the dance floor wasn't empty at all! Here are some photos from the key points of the day. To see the complete set of the wedding day, please visit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nicolesfromtheheart/collections/72157624354883494/
