So, I got to this guy's shoot and I had forgotten my space heater which NEVER HAPPENS. I use it to be sure babies are super warm so they stay asleep. I paid for it a little when he didn't want to really settle in, but that didn't stop us from getting lots of adorable sleepy images! Those lips and cheeks kill me. I also loved his baseball themed nursery. Mom and dad did a great job both creating that space and this little man. Enjoy!

This one is a special one because these are my little cousins. They love doing photo shoots and for years, we've done them at sunset on the beach. Back in August, they told me they got new flannels for Fall so they "needed a shoot". So, of course, I said we would! We found a nice Monday afternoon in the Fall. We had gone to this park (Bird Park in Walpole) the week before and saw how pretty it was looking. They are 14, 12 and 9 with loads of personality. Of course they had some of their own ideas and simply had fun, showcasing those personalities perfectly. The fun ones are some of my favorites. I love these girls so much and had such a fun time capturing them. Enjoy!
{Click to see larger} I photographed this little munchkin when he was a chubby newborn (I LOVE chubby newborns). This Fall, we met up to do some shots at Castle Island with his siblings. What a great looking group of kids!! And those suspenders kill me. SO ADORABLE. Enjoy a few images from our session below!
{click to see larger} This Fall felt more brutal for rain on weekends than usual. I work just about every weekend day from September to December and rain is not my friend. I thought the weather was clearing up for this session but after I arrived, it started coming down, and not just a sprinkle. We waited it out and when it let up, we decided to get as much as we could. As we wrapped up, it started again. Mother nature gave us just long enough. :) I love a cloudy day in the Fall because the colors stand out even more. M, who was 7, kept count of the # of images I was taking, which was funny and amazing considering I wouldn't be able to keep track. Overall a great afternoon at Borderland State Park!
Enjoy some of the images below! {Click to see larger} I had such a great time with this family! Boys at these ages are almost always anti-picture day! And these guys weren't thrilled and gave me a run for my money ;) but they were great anyway! We met at Borderland which is a favorite location. Mom and dad have their hands full with 3 boys....and another on the way! But, OH SO MUCH LOVE here. I love the closeness of this family and mom and dad. You could FEEL the love. SO AWESOME. Enjoy some images from their session below!
{click to see larger} Sometimes toddlers are super serious, especially in front of the camera. This cutie was VERY serious and it took a while before mom and dad could even get some smiles and laughs. But, when they did, oh my! Who's funnier than mom and dad??? It's also important to stop to take a break and give your duck friend some special love. I LOVED my time with this family, walking around the Boston Public Garden. So much love in this family of 3! Enjoy!
{click to see larger} This little guy and his parents were first time clients this last year and they were great! On the day of our first scheduled session, I woke up to dark skies. The weather forecast had literally changed overnight and it didn't look promising. Because it wass later in the season, we decided to try for it since it wasn't raining yet. By the time I got there, it was coming down pretty steady and decided to scrap it and try again. I managed to reschedule them quickly due to some time I'd left open in case of needing to reschedule people. It was cloudy but yay, no rain! This guy was awesome. He was very busy and walking all over the place, and of course, in the opposite direction of me so he kept me on my toes, but most his age do! ;) As I always say, I am blessed to get the best clients!
I love these girls. I've been taking their pictures for seven years. I'll share a few from past sessions below before this year's session. We met near Haymarket and made our way along the Greenway to Christopher Columbus Park, a beautiful place to be in the Fall! As we walked, we passed an art piece I love. It is along a fence and is text based artwork and for some reason, as we walked, the words "get along" stuck out to me so I had the girls sit underneath. It is one of my absolute favorite images from 2017. I've been fortunate to watch and capture these gorgeous girls as they've grown and look forward to more sessions.
ENJOY! {Click image to see larger} I started taking pictures for this family when S was a tiny newborn. We had our Fall shoot this year at the beautiful Larz Anderson Park, one last shoot as a family of 3. S is super cute and has so much fun with her mom and dad. They have so much love for their little girl and it's evident. This age always produces some adorable serious faces as well as big smiles and laughs. I'm sharing both of their sessions here since we had our newborn session just two months later. I'll get to that below. {click image to see larger} Mr. A didn't want to sleep a whole lot but he had this calmness about him that not all newborns have. Sometimes they flail their arms a lot and squirm when awake so it's a little harder to get images when they are awake for much of the session but he was very chill. S LOVES her little brother. She was so sweet. You never know what you'll get when doing a newborn shoot with a toddler. Sometimes they really do not want to be near them and holding them is a big NO. But, S, was so gentle an sweet with A. We let her just naturally interact with him and it was beautiful. So much love in this family of 4! Enjoy!
My friend Tara always does the same thing for her photos. A creature of habit, we do the Bunker Hill Monument and some on their front steps, which are beautiful. Our plan was to do the same this year (though life got in the way and we were never able to schedule it) but I also talked her into this lifestyle session. While I do love the way we do the same place every year because it shows the kids growing and serves as a way to really see the difference every year, I love to mix it up a little too. Her kids are never too excited for photo shoots so it was actually perfect. We did something different and fun and they really got into it, even coming up with their own ideas. We met up at the Boston Public Market, where they got a little snack before we started, some apple cinnamon mini donuts which we then incorporated a few times into the session. I LOVE these types of sessions. Kids of all ages enjoy them and respond well to the laid back feel, the way they can just have fun. That's why even my regular session incorporate some more of the lifestyle feel. The real way to get genuine smiles and capture their true personalities is through fun! Anyway, even our regular sessions never disappoint. We always get some awesome moments. My favorite from last year is below before this year's session. Mom even got it on a large 40"X30" canvas which looks AMAZING in their hallway! Bigger is ALWAYS better when it comes to images on your wall.
